Art can engage with the themes of its time not only by reflection, but by painting the more beautiful world within it.
My latest collection, "Super Organic", paints a different picture than what we see on the news, one that feels, at least to me, more truly human. Harmony, abundance, reverence. Humanity and nature as not two, but one.
At its deepest level, this series attempts to show what we truly are: free. Free to revel in nature, to shed our weapons, to remove the masks that hide us from each other.
We are not defenseless, because the whole earth is on our side.
It is more than hope; it is the truth, what I leaned into while holding my brush as it painted its own arrival.
This series inverts the usual hierarchy, asking:
might humankind find the happiness we see if we truly apprehended nature’s scale and power?
